Attendees: Doug Lohmeier, Stiney Vonderhaar, Susan VanAmerongen, Sandra Murphy, Chief Cruse, Jim Bothe, James Jeffers, Don Apking, Jack Cameron, Matt Grever, George Synder, Brian Seedhouse, Brenda Wehmer. Jeff Albrinck, John Ranz, bill Puthoff, Carolyn Smiley-Robertson absent & excused.
1.Gorman Heritage Farm
a. New Director- Susan Van Amerongen announced that Sandra Murphy has accepted the position of Director to the farm. Update was given on the pavilion
2. “Committee As A Whole”- All Council in attendance for discussion. ~6:00-7:00 No legislative action to be taken. ~Renewal TIF Notes- meeting to discuss the renewal of Evendale Commons- Tax Increment Revenue Notes Renewal. ~Representatives from Miller Valentine, 5/3 Bank and Peck, Schaffer, Williams LLP will be in attendance. ~Council was informed there was no money is available to make service payments. Mr. Lohmeier asked why this was the case, Mr. Seedhouse informed us Miller Valentine had not filed the TIF paperwork however the ability to collect the past three years funds will happen once the TIF is filed. Further discussion on the 3 options to approve the Mayor & CFO on which is the best way to issue the bonds was presented. Further discussion at regular council meeting.
3. Fire- Jeff Harper is off duty due to a off duty accident. Chief Cruse reminded everyone of the 50th anniversary of the Fire Dept being celebrated on April 26th.
4. Recreation No report given but Dave Nichols wanted to pass on the FunBrella was not going to be installed this year for budgetary reasons.
5. Service- Jim Bothe informed us about street light pole painting estimate of $9600 but are also scheduled to be replaced in 2011. Committee decided not to have them painted.
6. Engineering – Mr. Jeffers presented
a. Island Landscaping and Maintenance – Full council discussion on whether to proceed with new plantings or to hold off. Mr. Ranz felt we should not move forward, Mr. Lohmeier, Mr. Puthoff & Mr. Vonderhaar stated they were okay.
b. Evendale Road Project- Bids were discussed and came in under engineers estimate at $668,027 will be discussed at regular council meeting.
